Tech Policy Fellows, University of California, Berkeley

The UC Berkeley Tech Policy Fellows program offers scholars and practitioners the opportunity to spend the 2024-2025 academic year as a non-residential fellow at UC Berkeley to conduct research; share expertise and experiences with faculty, staff, and students; and develop technical or policy interventions that support responsible technology development and use. 


Product Manager, Resolver

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for the product roadmap to address the developments needed to detect toxic, illegal and brand damaging social media content to protect Resolver’s customers and their brands. You will also think carefully about the User Experience that underpins customer satisfaction with Resolver’s products. You will have had customer facing experience, and will be motivated to engage with Resolver’s customers to really understand the market and their individual needs. As a result of this, you will be expected to be comfortable working at strategic as well as operational (and occasionally tactical) levels. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling go-to-market strategy for Resolver’s products.

Manager, Non-Financial Risk, KPMG

Responsibilities for this role include…

  • Design and develop compliance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies that focus on the specific complexities of Big Technology companies in the areas of content and activity moderation, consumer data protection, competition, policies and other mechanisms to counter harm, responsible product/service design, data governance and protection, and trust and safety to ensure organizations follow relevant legislation, regulation, and industry standards 

  • Review Big Technology client's processes risks and controls against leading practices and industry frameworks informed by regulations such as the DSA Act, DMA Act and GDPR, identifying gaps in design/execution and communicate issues and recommendations to engagement leads and client management
